PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
$300 Hourly Session Fee
All sessions are booked at a minimum of one hour. Every session includes an online gallery of full resolution, edited images for downloading and printing. Travel fees will be incurred for sessions larger than 30 miles round trip from Byron Center, Michigan. For groups over 5 individuals, a $30 fee per additional session participant will be incurred. Session fees are due at the time of the session.
WHY HIRE ME AS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER?
The words I would use to describe my photography are: timeless, real and natural. I use natural and supplemental lighting and realistic editing. Studying photography in college, I began using a black and white film camera and learned to develop my negatives in the dark room. From 2012 - 2015, my mother and opened and ran a photography studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the studio, we regularly photographed children, families, pets, professionals, high school seniors, commercial work, weddings and more.
I see my camera as a tool. A tool to capture something more than just a photograph. When I am behind the lens, I believe I am capturing moments in time that can never be re-captured. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work with photography subjects as young as infants all the way up to individuals 100 years young. It doesn't matter what or who my subject is, human or animal, my job is to bring out the inner joy of my clients and create a reflection of who they truly are.
From baby showers, graduations, weddings to funerals, I've photographed a vast variety of events. I am sensitive to relationships, emotions, situations and environments which gives me insight into how to work most effectively. Each session I call on different skills I've developed for different needs. Sometimes I need to ask subjects for more posed images when the moment is right, other times I capture background images to reflect the fine details and candid images that often show a great depth of emotion.
As a former member of Professional Photographers of West Michigan, I entered local print competitions and stayed up to date on continuing education, previously traveled the country for workshops and training to hone my photography and editing skills. In former corporate positions I coordinated photoshoots for magazine publication and merchandise catalogs. Today, I utilize my years of photography experience for clients and families throughout West Michigan and beyond.
